Transform Your Mindset: Affirmations Resources to Boost Your Mood

awomanunbroken

As someone who has struggled with negative self-talk and self-doubt at times in my life, I've discovered the incredible power of daily affirmations to transform my mindset and improve my overall well-being. Whether it's through repeating positive affirmations to myself each morning or listening to guided meditations throughout the day, affirmations have become an essential tool in my personal growth journey. In this post, I'm excited to share some of the best apps and websites I've found for incorporating affirmations into your daily routine and reaping their many benefits. I am not affiliated with any of these apps. They are simply fantastic.

In the top spot is ThinkUp. ThinkUp is a free app that allows you to create your own custom affirmations and listen to them with soothing background music. The app also includes a variety of pre-made affirmations on topics such as self-esteem, weight loss, and stress reduction.

Then, there's The Daily Positive. The Daily Positive is a website that offers a variety of affirmations audio on topics such as gratitude, success, and happiness. The audios are available for free streaming or download. The website also offers countless articles on topics such as mental health, relationships, and self-improvement.

Equally good is Mindvalley. Mindvalley is an online learning platform that offers a variety of courses on personal growth and self-improvement. Their website offers a variety of affirmations audios as part of their "Quests" programs, which are designed to help you achieve specific goals. It focuses on personal growth and improving different aspects of your life. It offers courses on body, mind, soul, entrepreneurship, career, and relationships.

It's more formal and involves membership and course purchases, but it is extremely robust.

If you enjoy guided meditation, Headspace is a popular app that offers a variety of guided meditations on topics such as stress reduction, sleep, and anxiety. They also have a series of "mini-meditations" that are perfect for beginners or for those who have limited time. I like that they allow you to try it for free for 2 weeks before making a commitment. After that, the subscription isn't expensive.

I was recently, and pleasantly, surprised to discover the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. The UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center offers a series of free guided meditations on its website, including mindfulness meditations, loving-kindness meditations, and body scan meditations.

Tara Brach is a well-known meditation teacher who offers a variety of guided meditations on her website and through her podcast. Her teachings blend Western psychology and Eastern spiritual practices, mindful attention to our inner life, and a full, compassionate engagement with our world. The result is a distinctive voice in Western Buddhism, one that offers a wise and caring approach to freeing ourselves and society from suffering. Her meditations focus on topics such as self-compassion, mindfulness, and emotional healing. Tara is also the author of several books including the international bestselling Radical Acceptance, Radical Compassion, and Trusting the Gold.

Lastly, Oprah Winfrey and Deepak Chopra offer a series of guided meditations that are designed to be completed over a 21-day period. Each meditation focuses on a different theme, such as gratitude, self-love, or abundance, and includes a short talk followed by a guided meditation. Disclaimer: I have not yet tried these, but I have researched it and read many positive reviews. It made sense to include it.

Incorporating affirmations into your daily routine can be a simple yet powerful way to shift your mindset and improve your overall well-being. With the help of these apps and websites, you can easily incorporate daily affirmations and guided meditations into your busy schedule and start reaping the many benefits they offer. Whether you're seeking greater self-confidence, inner peace, or simply a more positive outlook on life, there's an affirmations resource out there to support you on your journey. So why not give it a try and see how the power of positive affirmations can transform your life?
